Mama’s Got A New Little White Dress

If a dress’ worth is measured by how many compliments it gets, then it would be hard to beat this one by London-based label Self Portrait. The scoop on the brand? Noticing a lack of reasonably priced event wear, Malaysian native Han Chong began experimenting with lace, crochet and mesh to create cocktail-ready frocks in the $300 to $700 range.

In just two years, his fan club includes weirdos like me and super cool celebs (unlike me) such as Beyoncé, Reese Witherspoon and Rachel McAdams. As of late, I’ve been wearing a lot of Self Portrait frocks to work events and they always get people asking me, “Where did you get that?!”
