Miami & New York, You Need This Magical Unicorn Ice Cream in Your Life

Unicorn Frappuccinos, cozy onesies, crazy-colored hair (um, yeah that’s a thing now), pool floats — it’s safe to say the unicorn was the MVP of 2017. And with the New Year in full swing, it appears the magical-one-horned-wonder trend shows no signs of slowing down with the latest news rolling out of Wynwood: Taiyaki NYC will be serving up UNICORN TAIYAKIS starting January 12th at 1-800-LUCKY when doors open at 3 p.m.

Replete with a horn, earrings and sprinkles… can you say, “Instagram sensation?”

Impossibly cute, I know. But seriously, the Chinatown, New York-based ice creamery recently popped up in Wynwood and locals are loving their legendary fish-shaped Japanese waffle ice cream cones filled with red bean paste. Chewy on the inside and crispy on the outside, Taiyaki’s waffle cones are made fresh on site (the delicious scent wafting through the air should be bottled and sold, to be honest)  and served with a heaping of soft serve ice cream in flavors such as matcha green tea, vanilla, strawberry and black sesame. Being a well-seasoned ice cream aficionado (I blame my children), it’s important to note that the soft serve here is not too sweet and the perfect creamy consistency (#blessed).

So if you’re coming here for the ‘gram, you won’t be disappointed. Your tastebuds won’t be either. The only problem? This unicorn may be too darn adorbs to eat.
