Ask any Brickellista (yes, that is a word) where they hang, and they’ll quickly quip, The Shops at Mary Brickell Village. Anchored by a Publix supermarket and LA Fitness gym, the locally loved open-air mall nestled in the heart of the Brickell area is home to a cool mix of mom-and-pop owned shops and yummy restaurants (P.F. Chang’s, Dirt and Rosa Mexicano to name a few). You can find everything from spicy cigars to wallet-friendly fashions to a solid blowout here. Here are our go-to shopping haunts when hitting this outdoor oasis…
This women’s boutique caters to the gal who wants to look good… on a budget. Scoop up the latest trends without breaking the bank at this Miami-based chain which currently boasts six (yes, six!) stores in sunny South Florida. You’ll unearth everything from sequin dresses to basic tees to flip-flops at this one-stop shop.
Blo Blow Dry Bar
Scissors are verboten here. Dye, ditto. No cuts and no color, either. At Blo, it’s all about a good wash and blow dry. Hair Cadets (AKA clients) can choose from the menu’s 7 styles — there’s the razor-straight “Executive Sweet” to the tousled bed-head look à la “Pillow Talk.” The cost is $40/$45. Just wash, blo and go.
The Village Humidor
If stogies are your thing (I know they are my husband’s guilty pleasure!), look no further than The Village Humidor. The shop cells both elite and humble (#balance) cigars by Cohiba, Arturo Fuente, Montecristo and more. Not limited to cigars, the boutique is brimming with vaporizers, hookahs, lighters, cigar cases, humidors and cutters. I’ll smoke to that!
There’s something for the gents here, too. Slip into OFY where casual menswear by labels such a J Brand, Joe’s, Swims and more are up for keeps. Clothing aside, footwear and accessories (say, a fedora for that trip to the beach) are also in house.
Consider this spot the local ladies’ place for on-trend and elevated (Read: pricey) clothing and accessories. Scoop up labels such as Zimmerman, Misa Los Angeles, Rails, LNA, Feel The Piece, Joie and more. With clothing, workout gear, bikinis and accessories under one roof, Studio LX is a one-stop shop for the fashion-forward femme fatale.
