New Years Shenanigans

Here’s a little flashback to New Year’s Eve, kids. We went to our close friend’s Maria and Jason’s house because, in my opinion, house parties are always the way to go. South Beach is a perpetual hot mess for New Years and it’s everlastingly one word: Shitshow. The last time the husband and I headed to a SoBe club on New Years, the traffic was so bad that we spent 12 o’clock IN THE CAR. Stone cold sober. Naturally, I cried. And vowed never to return.

I chose to go all white this year because according to those brazen Brazilians, wearing an outfit that is completely white symbolizes peace and renewal — a certain kind of hope that the New Year will be better than the one that has just passed. So that’s something for you to think about next year, peeps. I spotted this BCBG number in Dubai and had to have it — it’s super comfortable and I love the simple silhouette paired with a plunging-V neckline. MEOW!

As for that showstopping Chanel bag — big ups to my husband for that gem. For the first time in our 16 years together, he managed to procure a Christmas present which didn’t warrant a swift return. Atta boy! Clearly, he’s slowly learning the femme fashion ropes.

Our night involved a copious drinking (current drink on ration in Tito’s vodka with Crystal Light lemonade — random!), dancing to booty music and lots of laughing. Hope your New Year is off to a great start, too.
