I recently had the pleasure of co-hosting a “Moms Day Out” fashion show at Neiman Marcus Bal Harbour Shops (pinch me!) alongside fellow friends and bloggers Jenny Berger and Laurie Lloyd, where I wore the stunning black dress above by A.W.A.K.E Mode. I fell in love with the texture and movement of the dress and — drum roll, please — it’s COMFORTABLE.
The 411 on the brand, you ask? Veteran fashion editor Natalia Alaverdian’s first venture into design came with high expectations. In 2012, she delivered with a precocious, conceptual label, A.W.A.K.E. MODE, which counts Japanese art and the animal kingdom among its abstract inspirations. Despite its ambitiousness, A.W.A.K.E. MODE tops, trousers, and skirts are supremely wearable—think must-have deconstructed shirts, tailored winter coats, and sculptural cocktail dresses.
Keep an eye out for them… trust!
