Someone pinch me. When one of my fave glossies, ELLE Decor, reached out to me to promote their Modern Life Concept House for Art Basel, I danced the Zorba and made it mentally rain pixie dust in my brain. I also saw pink-and-purple unicorns. I think. Don’t quote me on that. The deal? They asked fellow bloggirl Annie Vazquez and I to choose looks inspired by the home which was designed by Brad Huntzinger, Kate McIntyre, Daniele Busca, Fernando Wong, Sam Robin, Samuel Amoia, Sofia Joelsson, Wade Hallock and Iris Wilson.
This here is yours truly in the Wade Hallock-created dining room which was unequivocally over-the-top glam (so me!). In return, I wore a classic LBD by Missoni. As for that dining room, I’m totally obsessed the cheetah spot chairs and crystal chandelier — and if I could’ve smuggled them out the front door like Lindsay Lohan at a jewelry store, I would have like a complete psycho. But my mama taught me better. Besides, I lack the upper body strength.
The gist of the ELLE Decor Modern Life Concept House? To transform an unbelievable waterfront home on Sunset Island II into a living dream for you to peruse during Basel. The feel-good factor? Access to the abode will be available for $35 per person, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. Love that!
