Whenever in a dressing rut, heed of this advice: Slip on a blazer paired with jeans, pants or shorts and you’re solid. I found myself in this conundrum on day 2 of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim. While I wanted to reach for a boho maxi dress, something inside me told me, “You’ll be just another flowy dress is a sea of flowy dresses.”

As always, my inner voice was correct. And I went with a classic blazer and crochet shorts to add some vavavoom (and to evade death by heatstroke. Or humidity. Or both).

Which brings me to my next point: Blazers are a wardrobe staple. Every woman should own one (or two or three or four…). I’m loyal to Elizabeth & James‘ jackets because they exude that borrowed-from-the-boys appeal.

And boys love them, too.

I love a white blazer. So so chic. The flowy dresses were so overdone. NEXT.

Your hair looks fab. I kinda want to embrace my 1/3 life criss and ombré…suggestions? And enough with your perfect tan torture!
