The Canadian Tuxedo AKA Denim on Denim

Peep me in the omnipresent Canadian Tuxedo — also known as the denim-on-denim trend. In order to pull off this look without channeling some rodeo dude flip-flapping atop a bull is by mixing different shades of denim and throwing in some chic pumps. I went with these suede-and-metallic ombré Choos because they elevate an otherwise meh ensemble. I added a French blue Botkier crossbody/clutch to keep with the monochromatic palette. And while I know it’s time for some dark nail polish, I couldn’t resist my all-time fave pink hue by Essie, Mod Squad, during my last mani/pedi — it always makes me happier than a camel on Wednesday. And speaking of happy, here’s to wishing you a Happy Columbus Day weekend!
