Raid My Closet On The Cheap with Fashionably Conscious

{My Chloe dress with tags could be yours. Read on…}

The Wordy Girl is making a diff, peeps, so listen up. As part of the host committee for Fashionably Conscious I was asked to plunder my closet and donate heaps of haute labels in the name of helping The Barnyard Community Center, which offers free after-school and summer programs for over 250 children in the West Grove.

Seeing as 100% of the proceeds go to The Barnyard, I dug deep into my closet (not to mention my very soul — parting with certain pieces was downright painful!) and mustered a colossal mound of couture castaways from designers such as Dolce & Gabbana, Chloe, Hugo Boss, Diane Von Furstenberg, Miguelina, Yigal Azrouel and more. So how can you participate?

You can donate by dropping off items at Adolfo Dominguez at Village of Merrick Park or schedule a pick up with Nicole Cunningham at: [email protected]. And you can buy tickets at the door for the actual event which takes place on Sept. 21, 22 and 23 at the space next to Lacoste at Village of Merrick Park ($25 on Friday, $10 on Saturday and $5 on Sunday). This is one get-it-on-the-cheap designer sale not to be missed, kids — and the feel-good factor is an extra added bonus.
