Read This: Where The Crawdads Sing

I finally read Where The Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens after avoiding it because when something gets too much hype I’m usually turned off. But my reliable fellow bibliophile friend Sarah nudged me to order it and I’m so glad that I finally read it because *spoiler alert* I loved it!

Amazing prose aside, the nature descriptions in this novel are beyond. Owens is a master of making scenery pop off the page. You will smell the saltiness of the marsh and feel the ocean breeze on your skin. You will hear the caws of the seagulls and purr of the cats. You will fall in love with the underdog, The Marsh Girl, and find yourself rooting for her to prevail against all odds.
