It’s Art Week in Miami and that means one thing and one thing only: Miami is serving lewks and so am I!
This iteration of Art Basel brings with it a spate of spin-off events which come secondary to the grand fair at the Miami Beach Convention Center which runs from Dec. 2 to Dec. 4, 2021. Leading galleries from five continents show significant works by masters of modern and contemporary art, as well as the new generation of emerging stars. You can score tickets here.
Next come the satellite events — and this is where brands can showcase their newest products in both a creative and over-the-top manner. Highlights of 2021 so far include Louis Vuitton hosting a mesmerizing oceanside sunset tribute in honor of Virgil Abloh, Saint Laurent‘s beach-top gallery showcasing 55 pieces from NYC-based artist Sho Shibuya, La Prairie launching its first-ever luxe beach club, Chanel‘s “Es Devlins” multi-sensory maze-like installation, Bentley and Brito teaming up for a VIP dinner, and more.
Yesterday, I attended the Gee Beauty and Agent Nateur lunch at Mandolin where Agent Nateur creator Jena Covello shared her newest drop — a hair serum and oil — with us. As I come to understand myself more (hooray for growth!), small and intimate events with empowering women are my jam and I found myself never wanting to leave the group because of all the good, uplifting vibes. Energy is everything!
I plan on leisurely sauntering around the Miami Design District tomorrow to check out the public art installations and soaking it all in. Basel-tov!
