It’s a Plaid, Plaid, Plaid World

Celtic plaid and black lace? I FRIGGIN’ DIE FOR THIS DRESS. It’s been a while since I’ve wanted to makeout (tongue and all) with a fancy dress but when I spotted this Clover Canyon gem online, I had to have it because it has “The Wordy Girl” written all over it in Papyrus font (because Times New Roman is too basic for this chick).

Dress aside, I experienced a highly transformative weekend and attended the Oprah Winfrey Live The Life You Want Weekend. And while so many people gave me shit for going, well, I learned and grew so much — and cried an estimated 3,745 times. Which begs the question: Why on God’s green earth did I wear mascara to the whole affair? Fail.

The crux of the weekend was — in Oprah’s words — “To fulfill our greatest potential. To find our calling and summon the courage to live it.” A spate of “life trailblazers” such as Deepak Chopra, Elizabeth Gilbert, Rob Bell and IyanlaVanzant spoke on tapping into your inner awesomeness. I learned the importance of listening to the voices in my heart, how to meditate, how to deflect negativity, how to channel positivity and so much more. I left feeling empowered, curious, overwhelmed and ready to take on the world!
