On Fringe and the Importance of Fine Friends

After The Fashion Police several intrepid readers graciously pointed out I wear my Ray-Ban flattop boyfriend sunnies too often, I decided to invest in a new pair in the shape of these mirrored frames. You see… I listen to you freaks, after all. Imma give the people what they want!

The photos above were snapped by my husband (whom to be frank, is a royal pain in the ass when it comes to being my photog because he has the patience of a flea, but boasts more pros than cons so we’ll keep him) before Lunch Bunch with my college cronies. What is Lunch Bunch, you ask? It’s a  monthly meetup alongside fellow Gator alum sprinkled with some newbies. Think your grandmother’s knitting circle — minus the knitting, obvi  — but with all the mindless banter, laughter and some eggs benedict and bottomless mimosas thrown in for good measure. The mimosas part is key to inappropriate conversations, naturally.

So for those of you who find it difficult to connect with all your friends due to work, the kids, family obligations, yadda yadda yadda, I highly recommend creating a Lunch Bunch of your own. Just pony up your besties once a month and get together. Texting is verboten, chattering is a must, complaining is cool and appreciating one another’s love is a given. I adore my Lunch Bunch — and like a great suede fringe jacket — they never go out of style.

I love those Skull bracelets! It’s very Tim Burton! It’s good to see so many of the OLLA girls I used go to school with!
