Fashion Bloggers Do It The BEST. Duh.

This picture taken by fellow Miami fashion blogger  Jenny Lopez sums up my sentiments on the Fashion Blogger Do It Better event at Ricochet. The brainchild of The Fashion Poet and The Goodwill Project gals, the event spotlighted the seismic shift in Miami’s blogging community — one of which I am extremely proud to be a part of.

Droves of fashion-forward women and men showed up in support of Miami’s buzzing blogosphere to quaff copious amounts of the drink du jour — the Goodwill — mason jars filled with the good stuff and to shop, meet and mingle.

Here are some of my fave local bloggesses — Jenny Lopez, Ginger Harris and Annie Vazquez. There was a definite sense of camaraderie at the party, which I absolutely loved. And a whole lotta, “OMG, what are you wearing!??” and “I love your blog!” and “Where did you get those shoes?” and “Your hair is the perfect ombre! Give me your colorist’s number NOW.”

Speaking of ombre hair, blogger and photographer Kar Gar has hand’s down the BEST ombre locks in the 305. Tack on the fact she’s sweeter than Splenda and could give Jim Carey a run for his comedic chops and she’s a totes keeper.

Ooh and here’s Ana Ortuno and Eugy Alliegro rocking a Katniss-esque braid from blo. Werk it, ladies.

Another fun fact: The night was a Gold Saturn turband treasure trove. David Jon Acosta tells me he sold 60 turbands — his unique take on the 1950s trend. I also scored some bubblegum-flavored lip gloss from Miami-based TINte Cosmetics. You gotta love supporting our local talents, right?

Here’s Simonett Pereira and Eugy giving their best BBM pose. My final thought on the night? Well, Fashion bloggers don’t necessarily do it better…we simply do it the BEST.
