Carpe Diem in Denim

This jacket is everything. I spotted it in InStyle magazine and had to have it compliments of its ribbed insets, fitted silhouette, lapel collar, zipper details, blah, blah, blah. But even more everything (does that even make sense??) than this denim moto jacket is the fact I unearthed these amazing train tracks just 5 minutes from my home. I don’t know what it is about train tracks but they always fill me up with a surge of sentiments such as:

1) HELL’S YEAH!

2) GIRL POWER!

3) Oh shit, am I going to get pummeled into a zillion fleshy pieces by an oncoming train?

In other words, train tracks totally make me tap into the happy and scary places in my mind, which is exalting. The first picture in this post captures this conviction quite well — it says, “Carpe Diem!”
