The fab folks at my fave online store Farfetch.com hooked me up with my new go-to distressed cropped jeans (um, obsessed!) and their freshly minted coffee table book Farfetch Curates Design. Seeing as the book’s premise is design in its broader sense — furniture, objects of desire, interiors and buildings, I felt it only fitting to photograph this look at the MiMo-based gem, The Vagabond Hotel on Biscayne Boulevard because the property was recently restored to its mid-century modern glory.

And they nailed it — the property is quintessentially Magic City-esque during its heyday.

The restaurant inside the hotel is delicious, too. Chef Alex Chang brings the Latin-Asian-American-inspired FUEGO (that’s “fire” for you gringos). And don’t get me started about the poolside bar. The vibe is so laid back compliments of its comfy furniture and tropical landscapes. The guests here lack the all-too-familiar “trying to be somebody” airs of the SoBe set. And the property’s signature cocktail, the Vagabond Collins, will have you giddy in no time. Cheers to that!
