Child’s Play

My father tells me that his most prominent memory of my youth is a vision of me swinging on our wooden swing set. “You would swing for hours,” he tells me and it’s true. There’s something to be said of the rhythmic motion, the back-and-forth, back-and-forth of teetering through the air. Like a dance. A sing song. The feeling of my belly dropping always made me chuckle. And the uncertainty of falling added a dash of fear. So when given the opportunity to swing nowadays, I always go for it. Nothing makes me feel like a kid again. Nothing. You should try it, too. It does the body, mind and spirit good.

Aww this is so cute! And what a fun outfit to wear on the swings. I hadn’t been on a swingset for years until a few months ago and it brought back so many memories. I even made my mom and grandma go on with me too! That was a fun day. Love that clutch!
