The Wordy Girl in Aventura Magazine

{Hey, hey, hey, check me out in Aventura Magazine dropping some shopping knowledge.}

When the Editor-in-Chief of Aventura Magazine, Lori Capullo, recently asked me for shopping advice for her publication the moment was so bittersweet. How so? Lori was the Editor-in-Chief at my first-ever magazine job at Channels and  I looked up to her BIG TIME. That’s all caps for a reason, kids. Without Lori knowing it, I dreamed of being a writer one day, and she was unknowingly my role model and mentor. Lori was and still is a highly respected editor and writer and her tougher-than-nails attitude is truly admirable. Without further ado, here’s what I told Lori and her readers when asked, “Where do you shop in North Miami?”

Me: “In Aventura, my go-to is Aventura Mall. I’m slightly obsessed with Bloomingdale’s and Nordstrom’s inventories. Whether I’m looking for a fun frock or designer shoes, either one of these big guns will have it. For the kiddos, I adore Nini and Loli. They hands down have the coolest toys, clothing and baby items.

In North Miami, the best-kept secret is RDo Women’s Wear boutique. Nestled on Biscayne Boulevard, the shop is brimming with Dominican Republic-born Rucht D’Oleo’s feminine and flirty designs for ladies.

In Bal Harbour, my go-to is swanky Bal Harbour Shops. I’ve been a Saks girl ever since I was a baby thanks to my shopaholic mother. They have the sickest shoes, and don’t even get me started with their designer clothes! I’m also a huge Pucci and Chanel fan. Their creations are timeless and worth the splurge every single time.”
