The Skin Bitches 411

I’ve always held my friend Katy Stoka in high regards. She’s a bad ass soccer mom, MILF-y and the inventor of magnetic eyelashes. Yes, you read the latter part right. We were recently chatting at our sons’ soccer game and she shared her latest creation with me: The Skin Bitches. Um, LOVE the cheeky name. Katy co-created the beauty brand alongside her friend Doris Richards with this mission: To create bodycare products and accessories which hydrate, resurface and restore the skin. Below, Katy shares some Cliffs Notes about herself, Doris and The Skin Bitches

Katy invented the magnetic eyelash, 7 patents, built a company around it, and sold. Cha-ching!

Kids can be connectors. You see, Katy met Doris at a fundraiser where their  children attended same elementary school.

Doris was a US Champion Diver — yep, there’s still a life-sized mural of her still at UM Swim Center!

Pre-The Skin Bitches, Doris invented Sexy Sweaties, an ingenious undergarment designed for active women.

In their next biz move, they both knew they wanted their next business to be with a partner.

Some entrepreneurial advice? Always be in a business you enjoy and want to solve a problem — both Katy and Doris have sensitive (and aging) skin and want to motivate women to grab life and aging by the balls!

Their bodycare collection is founded on the idea of being both multi-functional and fun.

Sleep Tight overnight body butter ($150) is packed with ingredients to moisturize, repair, plump, with many organic oils/ingredients and also actives like retinol.

Their Rose Oil ($150) can basically do everything but drive your kids to school and offers a spate of uses — from the ends of your hair to elbows, knees, down to the cuticles on your toes.

Personally speaking, my fave accessories by this dynamic duo is their snarky-yet-chic Bitch Visor ($52) and black lace driving gloves (um, genius).

The best part? This is business is female owned, never tests on animals and based in Miami. Love that!
