A Miami Designer You Need To Know: Milda Bublys

I mean, if the “Love” embroidery on this Milda Bublys top doesn’t give your heart the warm fuzzies, well, you may need a trip to the closest psych ward, stat. I kid.

Milda, it just so happens, is a Miami-based fashion designer (yay!), teacher and artist. Each of her clothing or accessory pieces are created by hand and are one-of-a-kind. Yep, Milda hand-dyes, appliques or beads the pieces herself and uses repurposed cloth gleaned from thrift stores, donations from friends, and vintage garments from her personal collection.

I bought this gem off her Esty shop because the moment I set my eyes on the lime-green “Love” message and feminine floral print, I had to have it hanging in my closet. The notion “Love” was written in cursive — sadly, a dying art — was an added bonus. It’s such a special piece — made by an equally special woman.
