Snow. More snow. Droves of snow. Yes, that’s the weather forecast for most of you residing in places other than my hometown of sunny Miami. I’m secretly peanut butter and jealous of you all in colder climates because I love me a valid reason to bust out my water-proof Sorel boots, furs and cashmere. Trust me — I live for the occasional brush with snow, but, last Friday the beach conditions in Miami Beach were beyond. The ocean was flat. Not a jellyfish in sight. Cute boys were prancing around (eye candy is always welcome in my book). And it was cool enough to stave off sweating under the sun. For us Pisces types, this is our happy place

I wore a cotton tunic by Miami-based designer, Golondrina, paired with my go-to Illesteva “Leonard” style sunnies, bejeweled Sand by Saya flip flops and J. Crew panama hat. I love that hat — I always take it on my travels and it always brings a dose of chic to any look.

Back to the cold, though. I’m hitting the slopes of Vail, Colorado soon and freaking out! I’m finally skiing on my own (eff off, bunny slopes!) and the sensation is downright thrilling and exhilarating. And magical. And let me tell you — a hot toddy atop a snow-capped mountain is right up there with rosé on the beach.

Can’t hardly wait.
