I just wrapped up a fun-filled week of Art Basel-ing (yes, it’s now a verb) and this year I finagled my agenda BIG TIME. And by BIG TIME, I mean I only attended two daytime events (one for Henri Bendel and the other for Harper’s BAZAAR) and decided to focus on the very point of the prestigious event: the actual art fairs. I mean, what a concept, right? Right-o.

One day, I took my mom and dad to Art Miami and Context and let’s just say — may you never know the awkwardness of perusing an art fair with 324 penis-centric art pieces with your 76-year-old father. Talk about cringe-worthy. The next day, the husband and I chowed down on some Argentine bbq at Faena Miami Beach where I almost punched some asshole in the nuts for telling me, “Art Basel is no place for children.” WHO SAYS THAT? He’s damn lucky I was merrily 2 champagnes deep and in no mood to cut a betch.

This week’s agenda? Well, Tupelo Honey (my go-to for luxe jeans and basics) is having a party featuring J Brand, Feel the Piece and Frank & Eileen at their Aventura boutique (Town Center Aventura, 18785 NE Biscayne Blvd, Aventura) on Thursday, Dec. 11th from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The feel-good factor? A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to Thumbs Up. No RSVP is necessary and you’re invited, mmkay?
