How to Wear Leopard Print and Purple Nails without channeling Snooki

{J Crew dress, Miu Miu ballet flats, Aldo belt}

Am I the only person who feels like J Crew has been killing it as of late? Yes, J Crew. As in your mother’s go-to catalog. Shit, does this mean I’m old? Um, I suppose I just answered that rhetorical question. Anyhoo, everytime I wear this little leopard number people ask me where I got it so I feel like it warrants some kind of love via my blog. I like to cinch this flowy frock with a belt so it takes a more womanly shape and top the look off with my got-to style of shoes: ballet flats.

Which leads me to my next point: ballet flats (and pony tails when your hair is as dirty as a Porta-Potty) are your friends, ladies. They make any look appear polished and feminine. I literally have over 20 pairs of ballet flats and never met a pair I didn’t want to take home and make mine. Miami girls tends to think the “higher the better,” but honestly, sometimes a gal needs some comfort and ballet flats are the cure.

If you look past my vein-y ass feet peppered with callouses, you’ll see I’m rocking the Barney look. I’m totes feeling purple polish on my piggies because let’s face it, purple is F-U-N. Not to mention this noteworthy fashion fact: Purple is one of the few colors which matches every color on the wheel. And that, kids, is how you rock leopard prints and purple hands and feet without looking like a cast member of the Jersey Shore.

    Honey child, you couldn’t look like a cast member of Jersey Shore if you tried…
    You look amazing! I love that chic ponytail and the dress is may-jah!

    But if for some reason you are going for the Jersey Shore look, might I suggest: more hairspray, a perfume that makes you smell like an ashtray and keeping a pickle in your purse at all times…cause that’s how they roll.

    Hey I like J.Crew too, in fact I love it! So don’t feel bad (perhaps I am a bit old too lol!) ever since the whole neon craze I can’t have enough of it.

    Purple is my favorite color! There’s definitely a reason I had purple hair for so long. Love J.Crew they just get it.

    I love ballet flats too, especially Tory Burch’s, but those are a little pricey. Where in Miami can I get cute, affordable ballet flats?
