I Ate New York

FNO in the Big Apple was really really ridiculously fun. We headed to the Meatpacking District for some shenanigans — Alexander McQueen boasted a mile-long line, as did Diane Von Furstenberg — and somehow ended up eating our way through the city (you see, fashion girls DO eat!). Luckily, I attended a Flywheel class earlier in the day — as per Massi’s orders —  and was rocking my boyfriend jeans so I was dressed appropriately for… not Fashion’s Night Out, but what my posse called Fatty Night Out 2012.

We ate burgers at Bill’s Bar & Burger and wobbled through the streets where we had every intention of shopping like the thoroughbred spender we are but ended up at the Momofuko pop-up resto and ordered up a cold slice of magical Crack Pie. After a hit of Crack Pie, we spotted these fresh-to-death metallic oxfords…

When I asked said shoe wearer if I could take her pic…the conversation went something like this.

ME: “OMGEEEE, I NEED your shoes in my life. Like, yesterday.”
HER: “Thanks, I bought them today at Jimmy Choo.”
ME: “Wait, your Nikki Reed from Thirteen and Twilight. I looooove you! And your Choos.”
NIKKI REED: “Thanks!”
ME: “Can I take your picture for my blog?”
NIKKI: “Of course!”
ME: “Ok, but just act natural for the picture — you know, just keep eating your kale salad, ok?”

{Nikki Reed in her Choos, eating her kale.}

I know, who directs a celeb to keep eating their KALE? Talk about embarrassing.

Anyhoo, we also bumped into Travie McCoy from Gym Class Heroes, Nicole Sherzinger from the Pussycat Dolls and were even taped for a Saturday Night Live segment (no lie!). And when my social panic disorder (SPD) kicked in, we cabbed it to…

Yes, the Big Gay Ice Cream Shop for some soft serve dipped in chocolate. And as you can very well imagine, the Big Gay Ice Cream Shop is replete with blinged-out unicorn murals and adorable proud-and-out-of-the-closet employees. And this, freaks, is how The Wordy Girl celebrated FNO in NYC. How about you?

    Sorry, Ging, I didn’t ask as I was mesmerized by the Choos. But her throwback Coach bag is on all the starlets these days.
