Mah jongg is having a moment — and not just with your glam great-aunt who hosts weekly games with snack platters. The centuries-old tile game is suddenly the new cool-girl (and cool-grandpa) pastime, drawing in twenty-somethings, retirees and everyone in between. With its mix of strategy, social buzz and just enough chaos to keep things interesting, mah jongg is officially in its renaissance era. Before you let the shuffling begin, I find it imperative to take 2 to 4 private lessons.
