What’s a “bed party” and why do parents throw them, you ask? It’s a way to celebrate your kiddo’s college acceptance. The idea is simple: Decorate your child’s bed with their college name and colors. You can throw is some college merch and appropriately colored snacks, too. Beyond that, a bed party can be as simple or as bougie as you want to make it. In order to pull off the big SURPRISE, I asked Ava to sleep out the night before her bed party so we could set up her room — and on the day of, I invited all our family and her close friends.
It’s about celebrating the wins, the little moments, the big moments and everything in between.
