I love a tasty libation (I mean, what mom doesn’t?), so when Italy’s fave spirit, Aperol, reached out and sent me a box of their newest cocktail, the Aperol Spritz, I danced a little victory jig and reached for the wine glasses and ice. I don’t recall much after throwing back a few of these zesty orange-y bad boys…it happens! Don’t judge.
Anyhoo, this summer, Aperol is declaring its signature cocktail, the Aperol Spritz, the official drink of brunch — yep, no more mimosas! If you want to see what all the buzz is about yourself, hit Area 31 in Miami (270 Biscayne Blvd. Way) or mix one up yourself. Here’s the recipe:
APEROL SPRITZ
3 parts Cinzano Prosecco
2 parts Aperol
1 dash of soda
Serve over ice with a slice of orange
CHEERS!
Que Rico!
Maria,
I am a big time spritz cosumer 🙂
Don’t get the Cinzano prosecco, it’s not good, it’ very poor quality prosecco. Mix Campari with a good one (look for whatever has Valdobbiadene written on lthe label, or just grab the Mionetto that I KNOW you can find in Miami). It’s going to be sooo much better..and u can skip soda too, just go a little heavier with the two liquors 🙂
This is some serious advice from an Italian event organizer!!!
Chees to you!
Sania
OMG this is delish!!!!!!!
Thanks for the intel, Sania:)
This is one of my favorite drinks when the weather gets really hot. Not only good for brunch, but also great as an aperitivo. Toscana Divino in MBV makes a great one. Happy Monday! 🙂
