Put down the jar of store-bought marinara sauce. That is an order! I only say this because my Argentine mother-in-law’s tomato sauce will make you weak in the knees and only requires a handful of ingredients. Without further ado, I’m sharing her easy recipe with you because we do not gatekeep here.
INGREDIENTS
6 peeled plum tomatoes
6 cloves of fresh garlic
Fresh basil
Chicken broth
PREPARTION
Peel the plum tomatoes (linking device below) and chop up. Heat up some olive oil in a pan. Add the freshly chopped garlic. Let it cook until fragrant. Add the peeled & chopped tomatoes. Cook until the tomatoes are soft for about 10 minutes. Add fresh basil. Add chicken broth to make the sauce more watery. Season with pepper and garlic salt. Serve with your pasta of choice!
