It’s creamy. Cheesy. Savory. What am I talking about? My creamy orzo and salmon recipe is just the thing for one you crave bold flavors and seafood. Winning! You can always just use my easy marinade below to spice up your salmon routine, too.
SALMON MARINADE:
4 salmon filets
A scoop of dijon mustard
Olive oil
Fresh lemon juice
Smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt & pepper to season
Coat salmon in the above ingredients and cook in pan on both sides. Put cooked salmon aside. Clean the pan OR just carry on to the orzo step…
FOR THE CREAMY ORZO:
1 cup orzo
2 cups chicken broth
fresh pepper flakes
a dash of heavy cream
cheese of your liking
Add butter and oil to the same pan. Throw some fresh garlic into the pan along with the orzo. Let the orzo brown a little. Add chicken broth. Cook for 1o to 15 minutes with lid on. Add a dash of heavy creamy, cheese and red pepper flakes and add the cooked salmon on top. Cover and cook for 3 more minutes. Enjoy!
