I loooove playing with makeup. It’s right up there with Bravo reality TV viewing and eating Nutella straight from the jar. The lamentable element in all this is that I’m really good at watching TV and nom nom-ing, but my makeup skills are tragic. So when Bobbi Brown Cosmetics reached out to give me a Pretty Powerful Makeup Lesson and to share some Miami news with you guys, I was like, “YES. SIGN ME UP. LIKE, PRONTO!”

Bobbi Brown Education & Artistry Executive Cesar Silva at Macy’s Dadeland gave me a one-hour makeup lesson where he taught me some super tricks like how “concealer is the secret of the Universe” and how prepping one’s skin with substantial serum and moisturizer creates a better canvas for long-lasting and cake-free makeup. He also introduced me to the brand’s Pretty Powerful Mascara ($25) where 100% of the proceeds benefit Girl Rising, a global social action campaign dedicated to making education accessible to girls in the developing world.
